We at Gambit Nash are sad to share some news: it’s time to announce a retirement.
No, it’s not David, our long-standing graphic designer of 40 years!
Instead, after many years of developing third-party modules and extensions for WHMCS, we’re announcing the retirement of WHMCS Module Shop.
As part of Gambit Nash, WHMCS Module Shop provided additional functionality for the popular WHMCS hosting management platform, helping web hosting providers extend their systems beyond traditional billing and automation.
From content management and SEO tools to media libraries, backup utilities and other enhancements, our aim was always to help hosting businesses get more from the software they relied upon.
An Evolving Industry
The web hosting and software development industries have changed considerably over the years.
When WHMCS Module Shop was established, extending existing platforms through third-party modules was an effective way to provide functionality that wasn’t otherwise readily available.
Today, the technology landscape looks very different. Cloud infrastructure, modern development frameworks, API-driven integrations and increasingly sophisticated automation have transformed how businesses build, operate and manage their digital services.
WHMCS continues to play an important role in the hosting industry, but the wider technology ecosystem has evolved and so have we.
Moving Forward with Gambit Nash
As a software development and digital agency, Gambit Nash continues to evolve alongside the technologies and industries we work with.
Our focus has increasingly shifted towards bespoke software development, modern web applications, systems integration and building tailored digital solutions that meet the changing needs of businesses.
The experience gained through WHMCS Module Shop has been a valuable part of that journey. Developing extensions, integrating systems and finding creative solutions to technical challenges are skills that remain central to what we do today.
Retiring WHMCS Module Shop allows us to concentrate our expertise and resources on the next generation of software solutions.
What Does This Mean for Existing Customers?
WHMCS Module Shop has now reached the end of its development lifecycle and the website and associated services are being retired.
We’ve provided our remaining customers with a final module update that removes the requirement for licence validation and automatic update checks against our servers.
This allows customers who still use our software to continue doing so without depending on the WHMCS Module Shop website remaining operational.
All recurring billing arrangements are being cancelled and no further module updates or ongoing support will be provided.
Thank You for Your Support
We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported WHMCS Module Shop over the years.
Whether you purchased a module, suggested a feature, reported an issue or simply followed our development, we appreciate the part you’ve played in the project’s history.
Although WHMCS Module Shop is coming to an end, our passion for developing useful, innovative software certainly isn’t.
Technology moves forward and so do we at Gambit Nash.
